As a Geotechnical Engineer in Training/Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing field investigations and laboratory assessments.
  • Conducting geotechnical engineering to inform design decisions for structures such as bridge foundations, retaining walls, and embankments for various infrastructures.
  • Executing geotechnical analyses regarding the vertical and lateral capacity of deep foundations, as well as stability and settlement evaluations for embankments, dams, and levees.
  • Compiling geotechnical engineering reports and documentation.
  • Monitoring the construction processes for earthworks, including roadways and levees, and the installation of various foundation types.
  • Conducting site evaluations to plan geotechnical investigations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with transportation projects in the relevant region.
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or progress towards it.
  • EIT certification is highly desirable; candidates without it will hold the title of 'Coordinator' and are expected to obtain their EIT for career advancement.
  • Preference will be given to candidates from the local area.
  • Familiarity with the local geological conditions.
  • Ability to work independently while receiving general supervision from senior Geotechnical Engineers.
  • Successful candidates will be expected to pursue their PE for career progression.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software applications.
