Job Title: Medical Laboratory Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our General Lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Manage a team of lab technicians and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet the demands of the lab.
  • Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Training and Development: Train staff on lab procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Departmental Collaboration: Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives to drive lab operations forward.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
  • Certification: Certification through ASCP is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with specific experience in the general lab.
  • Leadership Experience: 1 year of supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of lab operations, including regulatory requirements (FDA, AABB, CAP). Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions under pressure. Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS) and other relevant software.
