Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our General Lab. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Manage a team of lab technicians and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet the demands of the lab.
  • Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Training and Development: Train staff on lab procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Departmental Collaboration: Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives to drive business growth and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
  • Certification: Certification through ASCP is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with specific experience in the general lab.
  • Leadership Experience: 1 year of supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of lab operations, including regulatory requirements (FDA, AABB, CAP). Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions under pressure. Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS) and other relevant software.
