About the Role:
The Rehabilitation Nursing Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of safe and effective patient care during off-hours, weekends, and holidays. This position involves:
- Overseeing all departments to maintain continuity of care and communicating essential information to management.
- Addressing unusual occurrences or patient complaints promptly and effectively.
- Ensuring that nursing staff adheres to safety protocols and minimizes the risk of healthcare errors.
- Monitoring documentation practices, including medical necessity, and overseeing the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
- Evaluating risk and quality indicators, as well as patient satisfaction results, to enhance performance and outcomes.
- Providing education and training to nursing staff on Quality Indicators (QIs) and ensuring timely assessments are conducted.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A degree from an accredited registered nurse program with current licensure in the state; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Certification as a Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a rehabilitative or acute care setting, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Strong planning, coordination, evaluation, and direction skills for clinical personnel.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
