Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Insurance Support Specialist to join our team. As an Insurance Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional support to our brokers, underwriters, and team leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote new business and renewal business to achieve production and market criteria
  • Negotiate terms with underwriters, including price, deductible, enhancement, and exclusions
  • Select carriers to approach with accounts
  • Assist and provide quotations for new business, renewals, and endorsements
  • Prepare recommendations for agents showing fact information regarding best coverage
  • Process new business, including transference applications, issue binders, and invoices
  • Process renewal business, including locating files, preparing and mailing solicitor letters, and issuing binders and invoices

Essential Qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Three years of wholesale insurance experience or its equivalent
  • Experience with specific account handling and marketing
  • Current state-specific insurance license
  • Substantial knowledge of insurance and insurance processes
  • Ability to review information, make decisions, and manage time effectively with minimal to no supervision
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to deal with confidential matters appropriately
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

Benefits:

As a regular teammate working 20 hours or more per week, you will be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and tax-preferred savings accounts. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to a 401(k) savings plan and participate in a deferred compensation plan. Additionally, you will receive no less than 10 days of vacation and 10 sick days during your first year of employment, along with paid holidays.
