Rightway Home Care Services, Inc. is seeking compassionate and dedicated Individualized Home Support (IHS) Specialists to empower individuals with mental disabilities, mental health conditions, or chronic illnesses to achieve greater independence and well-being within their communities.

As an IHS Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting clients by providing personalized assistance and guidance. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of areas, including:

Client Support & Empowerment:
  • Teaching essential life skills, problem-solving techniques, and coping mechanisms to enhance clients' self-sufficiency.
  • Facilitating social integration by assisting with relationship building and community engagement.
  • Providing support with administrative tasks such as paperwork completion and appointment scheduling.
  • Guiding clients in accessing vital community resources, including food banks, housing assistance, employment opportunities, and transportation services.
Financial & Household Management:
  • Assisting with budgeting, bill payment, and financial management to promote responsible financial practices.
  • Supporting household tasks such as grocery shopping, meal planning, and preparation to ensure a comfortable living environment.
  • Providing organizational support by assisting with decluttering, organizing personal belongings, and maintaining a tidy home space.
Documentation & Collaboration:
  • Accurately documenting all services provided in accordance with state regulations and agency guidelines.
  • Collaborating effectively with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
Transportation & Requirements:

IHS Specialists must utilize their personal vehicles for transporting clients within the community. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and empowering them to live fulfilling lives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and the ability to utilize technology effectively.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and full coverage insurance.
  • The ability to pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services Background Study.
