Job Summary

As a key member of the PIH Health team, the Outpatient Registration Representative I plays a vital role in ensuring seamless patient access to care at our facilities. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register patients for outpatient services, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of patient information.
  • Calculate and secure patient liability, including copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and hospital staff.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate registration of patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in a high-volume healthcare facility or medical office setting preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual Spanish or Chinese (Mandarin) language skills.
  • Experience with medical billing and insurance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
