Job Title: Front Desk Coordinator

The NYC Dental Office is seeking a highly skilled and organized Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. As a pivotal role in our dental practice, this position plays a crucial part in ensuring a positive patient experience.

This liaison role is instrumental in determining patient eligibility and maximizing their portion, thereby equipping the treatment coordinator for effective financial discussions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial & Insurance: Ensure patient portions of payment are collected at the time of service, complete end-of-day and end-of-month balancing, and post patient payments in a timely manner.
  • Scheduling: Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries professionally, schedule patient appointments following documented scheduling policies, and use effective scripts for all patient interactions.
  • Core Competencies: Tactful persuasion skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, effective verbal skills, professional attitude and appearance, and ability to work with interruptions and manage multiple priorities.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in dental, knowledge of dental procedures, and experience utilizing practice management software, preferably Dentrix.
  • Experience with 3rd party financial companies such as Care Credit and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
