Senior Electrical Engineering Lead

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with a global presence, providing comprehensive program management and facilities engineering services. Our mission is to support the US Department of Defense (DOD) and other federal agencies through innovative solutions in planning, design, and construction management.
Position Summary:
The Lead Electrical Engineer will oversee the conceptual design and ensure the integrity of electrical drawings prior to client submission. This role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine electrical design plans, ensuring timely updates and modifications.
- Conduct construction inspections and quality control, providing expertise beyond standard construction management.
- Deliver quality assurance on ongoing projects while mentoring junior engineers.
- Collaborate with Contract Management and Planning teams to define project scope and schedules.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and evaluate designs for technical efficiency.
- Perform precise calculations to establish engineering standards and specifications.
- Draft technical reports, contract documents, and status updates, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Inspect installations to verify compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Utilize engineering software, including AutoCAD, for various engineering tasks.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in electrical engineering.
- Assist in recruitment, training, and onboarding processes, fostering a safe and positive work environment.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with US Government and Military projects is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
- Up to 10 years of experience in construction management/design, particularly in power generation or UPS.
- Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering software for project planning and circuit design.
- Familiarity with military programming rules is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel for international assignments.
- Eligibility to obtain a secret clearance.
