About the Department:
Our team specializes in Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) as well as Electronic Technologies, catering to a diverse range of sponsors. We focus on the creation and deployment of high-performance PNT systems that support various national security initiatives, including Nuclear Weapon Programs and Homeland Security.

Key Responsibilities:
As a member of our team, you will engage in:

  • Advancing PNT technologies in challenging environments, ensuring navigation integrity and situational awareness.
  • Calibration and specialization of Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs).
  • Implementing advanced sensor fusion techniques and exploring Alternative Navigation (Alt-Nav) sensors.
  • Architecting and deploying embedded electronic systems.

Desired Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with:

  • A PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, along with relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in designing, implementing, and testing real-time software/hardware in embedded systems.
  • Experience in software development using C, C++, Matlab, and Python, with a focus on object-oriented programming and version control.
  • Expertise in advanced state estimation techniques, including statistical anomaly detection and sensor fusion.
  • Familiarity with inertial sensors and their applications in navigation systems.

Salary Information:
The estimated salary range for this position is $109,300 - $217,400, based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Security Clearance:
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a required US DOE Q-level security clearance.

Preferred Skills:
We value candidates who have:

  • Experience in Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) methodologies, including Kalman filtering.
  • Background in real-time embedded systems development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Active security clearance from DOE or DoD.
