Overview -

Position Summary

Level: Principal

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees and directs significant programs that involve various functions and project teams to facilitate the engineering development and execution process for multiple products or service offerings within a Global Business Unit.
  • Leads the formulation of comprehensive program strategies, budget allocations, resource management plans, and essential program specifications for the Global Business Unit.
  • Supervises the activities of supporting project teams and both internal and external development partners; ensures alignment with unit objectives and takes ownership of overall program profitability and loss management.
  • Reports on program advancements, escalations, and issue assessments to product stakeholders; collaborates with business unit leadership and internal manufacturing and development partners to propose and enact modifications to products, processes, or business practices aimed at fostering continuous improvement and managing program expenditures.
  • Monitors and enforces project timelines and quality standards with vendors or subcontractors.
  • Collaborates with engineering project managers, product design, and operations to identify and mitigate risks associated with initial builds.
  • Promotes innovation and the integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities within the manufacturing engineering sector.
  • Evaluates program plans and guidelines for adherence to program management standards; provides constructive feedback to enhance overall program management quality and outcomes for the organization.
  • Coordinates with management to ensure adherence to procedural compliance, maintenance, and safety protocols for both new and existing equipment.
  • Mentors and guides less-experienced team members to exemplify program management innovation and excellence.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience demonstrating competence.
  • Typically possesses over 10 years of professional experience, ideally in engineering development and implementation, project planning tools and software, people management, or a related domain.
Preferred Certifications
  • Strong conceptual understanding of enterprise applications/architectures and Software Delivery Lifecycle.
  • Certification in Agile methodologies, such as CSM, PSM, CPO, etc., with a strong preference for Certified Product Owner (CPO) experience.
  • SAFe certification, ICAgile, and Kanban certifications are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Jira (JQL, Board creation, Reports, Dashboards, etc.).
