Mastro's Steakhouse is seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction through a commitment to excellence and a hands-on management style. Your expertise will be instrumental in the management of our back-of-house staff, including training, development, and follow-up. You will also be responsible for achieving budgeted labor and cost centers through proper planning and execution. Additionally, you will assist in overseeing weekly and monthly inventories and ordering of food and supplies. To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 2 years of culinary management experience in an upscale fine dining establishment. You will also need to possess strong knowledge and attention to detail on back-of-house operations, including staff supervision, inventory controls, and food/labor cost. Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills are also essential. A graduate of an accredited culinary program is a plus. Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. EOE. Pay Range: USD $65,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
