Job Overview

Sagebrook Senior Living at San Francisco is seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to oversee the culinary operations of our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing supervision to the dietary/kitchen team and supporting the Executive Chef in maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train the dietary/kitchen team to ensure efficient and effective meal production.
  • Assist in controlling food costs and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our residents.
  • Manage the meal service, including receiving, rotating, and inventorying products.

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Sous Chef in a senior living community or similar setting.
  • Supervisory experience and CPR certification preferred.
  • First Aid certification and Food Services Sanitation certificate required.
  • Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
