Overview
Objective of the Policy Services Associate II
The primary aim is to be a valuable member of the Life Customer Service Team, delivering exceptional customer service in a timely and professional manner. This role involves addressing inquiries and concerns from clients by providing accurate account or policy information and resolving issues. Responsibilities include processing policy modifications and payments, as well as maintaining reports and tasks. Additionally, support will be provided to Policy Services Representatives regarding billing and product inquiries, supervisor communications, meetings, and upholding departmental standards with precision while participating in training sessions.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities of the Policy Services Associate II
Deliver customer service by managing incoming calls from agents and policyholders. Respond to inquiries and concerns by supplying account or policy details and rectifying issues or errors. Handle challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
Process new business and evaluate policy applications for completeness and accuracy. Manage policy alterations and endorsements. Provide quotes as requested. Address questions related to life and preneed products. Reach out to field representatives or agents for any missing information. Promptly troubleshoot and assist agents and policyholders with accuracy.
Ensure efficient workflow within the unit. Issue policies and accurately record and deposit funds. Dispatch appropriate copies of policies to policyholders, agents, or both. Maintain up-to-date policy files.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications for the Policy Services Associate II
High school diploma is mandatory.
A minimum of six months of experience in insurance processing and customer service is essential.
Proficient computer skills and demonstrated keyboarding abilities are required.
Experience or training in both verbal and written communication is necessary.
Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
Data entry and keyboarding skills are required.
Good judgment, a friendly and helpful demeanor, and a solid math aptitude are advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
An Associate's degree is preferred, focusing on insurance, business administration, finance, or management.
