Job Summary

The Parts Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers by managing part orders, generating purchase orders for field technicians, and sourcing components from various suppliers to surpass customer expectations. This position is focused on cultivating long-term relationships with clients by understanding their needs, setting measurable objectives, and achieving results within their desired timelines. The ideal candidate will maintain proactive communication with associates, managers, and customers regarding procurement and parts orders.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate timely processing of parts orders to support technicians.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to parts inquiries via phone and in-person.
  • Assist customers in identifying parts using manufacturer manuals.
  • Prepare and submit parts quotes; enter approved orders into the system.
  • Exhibit professionalism and courtesy to exceed customer expectations in all interactions.
  • Advocate for ProLift Toyota Material Handling's core values and the principles of Toyota Lean Management.

Educational/Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, with one to two years of experience in a parts department, particularly in sourcing components, along with basic technical knowledge of automotive or forklift parts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and Office 365, is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with associates, customers, and management while safeguarding the organization's values by handling confidential information responsibly.
