Operations Manager Trainee

About the Role

The Operations Manager Trainee is a key position within our organization, responsible for learning and developing the skills necessary to independently manage a financially viable dental office. As an Operations Manager Trainee, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced professionals, learn new skills, and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Modeling Company Culture: You will be responsible for modeling our company culture, values, and standards, and for creating an environment that promotes a positive and productive work culture.
  • Team Management: You will be responsible for assessing, hiring, and retaining the right team members, and for providing comprehensive training, supervision, counseling, and coaching to ensure the success of our team.
  • Issue Resolution: You will be responsible for assessing, investigating, and resolving staff and patient issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Operational Execution: You will be responsible for executing our operational model with consistency, and for meeting identified office imperatives in partnership with our Owner Dentist.
  • Financial Management: You will be responsible for driving year-over-year revenue and profit growth, and for managing expenses to achieve monthly goals and budget.
  • Cash Management: You will be responsible for maintaining proficiency and adherence to cash management and accounting protocols.
  • Leadership and Coaching: You will be responsible for delivering effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring to our team members, and for identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.
  • Communication: You will be responsible for maintaining open and effective communication with our direct supervisors, and for developing trust-based relationships.
  • Professional Development: You will be responsible for gaining proficiency and understanding of our tools and resources, and for ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Five or more years of related work experience in operational management required.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and automobile insurance required.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to multiple offices per day, in some cases several times per day, and to have reliable means of transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Associate degree or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Five or more years of experience leading a team, mentoring, and coaching subordinates preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of what a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This is primarily a sedentary office classification, but may require field visits and driving. Temperature conditions are controlled with no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances.
