Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
  • Utility System Maintenance: Direct maintenance activities on utility systems to provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop a preventative maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
  • Performance Review: Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
  • Process Improvement: Plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operation costs, and affect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Equipment Planning: Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.
  • Supply Management: Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
  • Training and Development: Direct training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
  • Problem Resolution: Confer with management, engineering, and quality control departments to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
  • Financial Management: Prepare the departmental budget and monitor expenditure of funds in the budget.
  • Team Development: Develop an effective team that is engaged and works well together to accomplish the goals and KPIs for the department and company.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Graduate; BA degree preferred.
  • Experience: 10 years maintenance management experience; 5+ years manufacturing experience; plastic manufacturing experience preferred.
