Position Overview:
PDS Tech is in search of a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Savannah, GA, tasked with executing intricate analyses and evaluations of operations within manufacturing frameworks.
This position emphasizes strategizing enhancements, addressing manufacturing challenges, and amalgamating systems and tools for a cohesive approach in a production or post-production setting.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience:
Minimum of 18 months of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, planning, or a related technical area.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Enhancement:
Formulate comprehensive methodologies for complex assemblies to boost efficiency and precision.
Documentation:
Create and refine operational instructions in collaboration with Operations Engineers to guarantee clear, defect-free manufacturing processes.
Analysis and Strategy:
Perform thorough investigations to enhance and recommend equipment, tools, and techniques that align with manufacturing needs.
Lean Manufacturing Practices:
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to minimize waste and elevate product quality.
Cross-Departmental Leadership:
Spearhead projects across various departments to ensure timely and successful achievement of manufacturing objectives.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Guarantee compliance with quality control standards and actively engage in formulating strategies to meet quality and regulatory requirements.
Additional Responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
Participate in ongoing improvement projects, employing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance manufacturing operations.
Technology Integration:
Leverage advanced manufacturing technologies, including SAP and Solumina, to optimize production workflows.
Other Requirements:
Advanced knowledge and application of engineering practices, tooling, and production equipment.
Proficiency in CAD, CAM, and ERP software, with a preference for experience in Solumina and SAP.
Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or higher certification preferred.
This role is well-suited for a proactive and knowledgeable manufacturing engineer with a robust background in aerospace or related sectors, aiming to influence the efficiency and quality of production in a leading aerospace organization.
Compensation Details:
$55.00 per hour
