Job Overview:

The Recovery Support Specialist plays a crucial role in aiding individuals on their journey towards mental wellness and sobriety. This position involves guiding clients in establishing and achieving their personal recovery objectives, tracking their development, providing support during treatment, demonstrating effective coping strategies, and empowering them to advocate for their own needs in order to access essential services.


Educational Qualifications:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required. The Recovery Support Specialist must have successfully completed a recognized two-month peer mentoring training program.

Experience Requirements:
Candidates should have a minimum of two years of personal recovery experience and a strong desire to assist others. The ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of trained professionals is essential. Knowledge and experience in navigating local resources such as housing, healthcare, and social services are also necessary. A high school education or equivalent is mandatory, along with reliable transportation access.
