Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Office Management
    • Create and maintain directions to online assessment systems
    • Maintain and update email and materials distribution lists
    • Serve as support to the Project Manager for organization of spaces, materials, and communication with technology
    • Support the Office with the organization of interviews, including scheduling interview teams
    • Support teachers and the Office of Teaching and Learning regarding communication and support for professional development events
    • Assist teachers and the Assistant Director for UPK/Early Literacy in reviewing and tracking professional development completion of internal training
    • Responsible for timely communication to new teachers and mentors regarding seminars, professional development, and logging hours related to the mentoring experience
    • Lead IPS-II's in Office of Teaching and Learning in office schedule management
    • Organize district committees, including scheduling, attendance, and updating membership
    • Keep and maintain all relevant records and reports, such as timesheets
    • Review, organize, and edit documents and online folders needed by the Office of Teaching and Learning
    • Work with Project Manager, IPS, and District Textbook Clerk to support the ordering and inventorying of consumable materials
  • Coordination of Instructional Support Systems
    • Collect instructional/technical help email requests and route requests to the correct Office of Teaching and Learning representative
    • Troubleshoot, problem solve, and coordinate problems that arise in the instructional support systems across buildings
    • Lead the development and process of online department assessments in Edoctrina
    • Assign licenses to ensure access for teachers and students to instructional databases
    • Enter and maintain class rosters into various programs and databases
    • Assist in advanced communication planning for new certificated faculty
    • Provide updates to faculty on an ongoing basis throughout the year
    • Manage requests for technology and arrange technology delivery for in-person staff development or assist with communicating webinar links or scheduling online events
    • Interface with learning technology to support the continuity of programming and Professional Development
  • Coordination of Mentor Program and New Teacher Seminars
    • Coordinate dissemination of mentor information to certificated faculty
    • Manage mentor logs for new teachers and staff
    • Schedule monthly seminars, book locations, and facilitate communication to new certificated faculty
  • Coordination of Outside Agency Requests - Student Teachers, Observers, and Volunteers
    • Manage the communication and applications for student teacher and observer requests and regularly communicate with colleges and universities
    • Manage volunteer requests
Requirements
  • Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a master's degree
  • OR Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in the areas of technology or administrative support
  • OR Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an associate's degree and four (4) years of experience as defined by the limits of (B) above
  • OR An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above
