Credentialing Specialist - Trinity Health

We are seeking a dedicated Credentialing Specialist to enhance our Medical Staff Credentialing department. This role is essential in ensuring patient safety through meticulous credentialing and recredentialing processes for all healthcare providers.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Credentialing Specialist plays a crucial role in verifying the qualifications, training, and licensure of healthcare providers, ensuring they meet the standards required for Medical Staff privileges. This position demands a commitment to confidentiality and adherence to Medical Staff Bylaws, as well as compliance with various accrediting and regulatory bodies. The Credentialing Specialist is expected to maintain a proactive approach to readiness for audits and surveys.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Processing initial and recredentialing applications efficiently.
  • Reviewing and analyzing applications to prepare for necessary evaluations by relevant authorities.
  • Timely response to verification requests in accordance with state regulations.
  • Maintaining a tracking system for follow-ups on correspondence to uphold departmental standards.
  • Preparing for and participating in monthly Credentials Committee meetings as needed.
  • Organizing and maintaining provider documentation in line with established guidelines.
  • Responding promptly to provider inquiries.
  • Carrying out additional administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate's degree in business or healthcare administration is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Pay Range: $26.93

Compensation is determined based on experience, skills, and educational background. The pay range may vary based on location.
