Control Valve Outage Supervisor

Caltrol Inc. is seeking an Outage Manager to enhance our Lifecycle Services division.

The Outage Manager collaborates with Caltrol's clientele, Account Managers, and the Isolation and Valve Services (I&VS) team to ensure the timely and budget-compliant execution of new control valves, valve repairs, and various valve automation products and services during outages. This role involves directing and overseeing the requirements for quotes and invoices to Caltrol's Inside Repair personnel while ensuring adherence to all necessary documentation. Additionally, the position is accountable for managing daily service operations. The ideal candidate will possess a service industry background and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and follow-up of quotations, working to finalize orders for I&VS service repairs and parts.
  • Act as a key leader in the Isolation & Valve Services Quality Action Team.
  • Guide Caltrol inside specialists in developing and preparing quotes.
  • Provide updates on business systems for plant outages and maintenance turnarounds, contributing to management for budget forecasting.
  • Assist in resolving customer issues and provide direction for invoicing documentation.
  • Engage with customers, factories, and other Caltrol teams to foster process improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Actively participate with team members to achieve sales and gross profit objectives.
  • Evaluate the economic feasibility of repairing control valves versus replacement with Encore assemblies.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Caltrol's commercial and financial operations.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in control valves, sales, and/or repair with strong technical sales competency.
  • Excellent sales and customer interaction skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional follow-up capabilities.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of I&VS repair services.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage special assignments and meet customer deadlines.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in process control sales or applications.
  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in servicing industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with various Fisher Control valve models and types.
  • Knowledge of control valve sizing through Fisher training courses Control Valve Engineering I and II.
  • Understanding of Emerson Process Management products and services.
  • Experience with Caltrol's key industries, including refining, mining, power, food/beverage, water, and HVAC.
  • Knowledge of ball valves, control valves, valve repair, butterfly valves, process valves, valve assembly, electric actuators, valve automation, and pneumatic actuators.

Physical Requirements:
