Position Summary: The Senior Structured Cabling Supervisor will serve as the primary on-site coordinator and team leader for voice and data installation projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that all tasks are completed in alignment with both company and client quality and safety standards while optimizing the productivity of the assigned team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Structured Cabling Supervisor will lead project teams, ensuring effective performance and providing essential training. This includes maintaining compliance with safety and quality guidelines and conducting weekly safety meetings, while also addressing performance-related communications and escalating issues to the Project Manager when necessary.
  • Collaboration with the Project Manager is essential to guarantee productivity, project completion, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Accurate and timely completion of all IES COMMERCIAL and project documentation is required, including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, and tool transfers.
  • Conducting quality inspections, coordinating relocations, and preparing red-lined as-built drawings for voice and data cross-connects are part of the role.
  • The Senior Structured Cabling Supervisor will act as the main point of contact for clients on-site, addressing any inquiries or concerns and attending necessary facility and construction meetings.
  • Consistent performance of duties with a high level of technical expertise is expected, including troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges as they arise.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Position Summary: The Structured Cabling Superintendent is responsible for overseeing small to medium-sized projects. This role ensures that all contracted work is executed, implemented, and managed according to the company's standards, including safety, quality, management, and financial performance metrics. The Superintendent must ensure that all project aspects are handled efficiently, considering staffing, materials management, financial oversight, customer service, and delivery objectives.

Core Duties:

  1. Act as the senior company liaison for operational interactions with customer representatives.
  2. Plan, manage, and monitor project profitability to meet company objectives.
  3. Ensure deadlines are met in accordance with customer specifications.
  4. Oversee workload distribution, staffing levels, and monitor job installation progress.
  5. Manage successful project completion, ensuring productivity and budget compliance.
  6. Review job cost postings for accuracy, including invoice preparation and customer collections.
  7. Complete all IES and project documentation accurately and promptly, ensuring all Job Closing Packages meet standards.
  8. Conduct quality checks and manage outage prevention, performing regular job site inspections.
  9. Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, addressing questions and concerns.
  10. Demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge and effectively troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  11. Review operational processes for accuracy and efficiency, including estimating, purchasing, and reporting.
  12. Implement process improvements as necessary to enhance operational effectiveness.
  13. Collaborate with the Training Department to monitor quality and safety within operations.
  14. Lead operations meetings and training sessions as assigned.
  15. Manage tools and vehicle inventory and maintenance.
  16. Complete any other assigned responsibilities.
