Position Summary: The Mechanical Project Supervisor will be an integral part of the Construction Management team, reporting directly to the Project Superintendent and Mechanical Construction Manager. This role involves close collaboration with fellow supervisors and subcontractors, overseeing projects from inception to completion while managing the mechanical project team and various subcontractors on-site.
Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 annually, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily operations with other supervisors and subcontractors.
- Oversee multiple subcontractors and craft personnel.
- Regularly update and manage the project schedule.
- Handle requests for information (RFIs) and review submittal materials with clients and architects.
- Implement and manage cost control and quality assurance programs.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Resolve design and constructability challenges.
- Address client inquiries and develop solutions using technical expertise.
- Interpret and enforce installation standards in accordance with local codes and specifications.
- Provide essential information regarding field conditions for cost estimates.
- Facilitate contractor activities to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Assist in managing project staffing needs.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
Experience and Education:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in mechanical construction.
- Preferred experience in large-scale industrial and high-tech fabrication projects.
- Experience with high-purity chemicals and gases is essential.
- OHSA 30 Certification required.
- High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Background in materials and methods of mechanical construction is beneficial.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and familiar with project management software.
- Experience with design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexibility to accommodate changing project schedules.
- Ability to navigate various work environments, including climbing and working in confined spaces.
- Proficient in using office machinery and tools.
- Strong visual acuity for analyzing data and documents.
- Ability to lift and carry materials as needed.
- Capable of maintaining focus and professionalism in dynamic situations.
