Job Summary

Strategic Materials Inc is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plant Administrator/Weighmaster to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the movement of materials/products in and out of our facility, providing administrative support, and serving as the primary business/operations analyst for the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weigh and Track Materials: Accurately weigh and record the weight of inbound and outbound materials to ensure compliance with quality inspection procedures.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the plant manager, including processing invoices, reviewing and inputting hours for payroll, and maintaining inventory and ordering office and safety supplies.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track plant operations and provide business and operational analysis to support decision-making.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Communicate changes in service to suppliers and customers, schedule trucks for delivery/pickup, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels and order office and safety supplies as needed.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Review and input hours for payroll into the ADP system and assist with benefits administration.
  • Plant Safety and Quality: Conduct plant safety and quality meetings, utilizing the Tier 1 method of measurement, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Weights and Measures: Preferred experience with Weights and Measures.
  • Bilingual Spanish: Preferred bilingual Spanish skills.
  • Trucking/Logistics Experience: Experience in trucking/logistics, including knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well with others and execute daily responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner.
