Key Responsibilities- Operational Leadership: Develop and implement operational plans that promote long-term success and growth for our facilities.
- Production Oversight: Monitor and oversee the production performance of our manufacturing facilities.
- Financial Management: Work closely with our finance team to develop financial and budgetary plans.
- Process Improvement: Monitor operational systems and work with our management team on recommendations for solutions and process improvements.
- Customer Support: Oversee customer support and retention processes to ensure that customer demands are met.
- Workforce Planning: Monitor and follow up on workforce requirements for future programs for the efficient operation of our plants.
- Cost Control: Implement and maintain the principles of our cost control system.
- Mentorship: Ensure our facilities have the mentorship support to sustain our growth requirements.
- Quotations: Provide input on quotations for future contracts.
- Lean Principles: Ensure the execution of our Lean Principals relating to the manufacturing processes.
- Government Relations: Maintain regular contact with our Linamar Corporate office on issues such as Government Legislation or similar governing bodies.
- Education: A university degree or college diploma in manufacturing, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Courses: Courses in Business or Finance would be considered an asset.
- Experience: Extensive leadership experience managing multiple manufacturing facilities.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in a high volume and fast paced environment with a preference for those with machining and automotive experience.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and evaluating metrics.
- Customer Relations: Must have considerable experience working directly with customers and suppliers.
- Financial Management: Proven ability to manage finances and budgets.
- Business Acumen: Excellent business acumen with the ability to stay updated on current industry, business, and technical trends.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Software Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and various types of software, such as customer relationship management and data analysis software.
