Position Summary:
This pivotal role will contribute significantly to the company's future expansion.


The selected candidate will oversee a critical aspect of the company's financial management, encompassing financial forecasting, key performance indicators (KPIs), budgeting processes, operating plans, project costing, pricing strategies, cost analysis, and cost control measures.

The individual will provide financial advisory and strategic support to senior leadership, including financial presentations, capital expenditure evaluations, industry and peer comparisons, and assessments of new business opportunities.

This role serves as the analytical backbone of the organization, facilitating optimal business decision-making.

The position reports directly to the Group Director of FP&A and collaborates closely with the Sales and Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop costing and pricing models for various product lines and key clients.
  • Leverage data analysis skills to interrogate and interpret large volumes of complex data, identifying opportunities to enhance company profitability.
  • Create tools to monitor and report on profitability, cost increases, annual price adjustments, and future improvement recommendations.
  • Regularly report on key KPIs and cost drivers to facilitate performance discussions, managing real-time cost controls to assist General Managers and Business Unit Managers in achieving their monthly and quarterly objectives.
  • Examine current and historical trends in key performance indicators, including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support sales initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Conduct reviews of bids and contracts, assessing risks, unusual costs, necessary investments, and legal considerations.
  • Lead the enhancement and compliance of Business Finance processes, standards, and systems.
  • Implement and utilize a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reporting.

Challenges:

  • Operate within a rapidly growing and dynamic environment, adhering to strict deadlines for new opportunity modeling requests.
  • Engage with various organizational levels, from executive leadership to technical and operational staff.
  • This role may require travel to various company locations as needed.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or economics.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar or progressive role.
  • Experience in manufacturing is essential; aviation experience is a plus.
  • General knowledge of accounting, financial, and operational principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills are crucial.
  • Experience with a major corporation or a division of a large company is preferred; global experience is advantageous.
  • Commercial acumen and demonstrated experience in building cost models.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all management levels.
  • An advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
