POSITION SUMMARY:
This pivotal role will significantly contribute to the company's future expansion.
The incumbent will oversee a crucial segment of the company's financial management, encompassing financial forecasting, key performance indicators (KPIs), budgeting processes, operational planning, project costing, pricing strategies, cost analysis, and cost control measures. S/he will offer financial consulting and strategic guidance to senior leadership, including financial presentations, capital expenditure evaluations, industry comparisons, new business opportunities, and other management-requested projects.
This function serves as the analytical backbone of the organization, facilitating optimal business decision-making.
The position reports directly to the Group Director of FP&A and collaborates closely with the Sales and Marketing team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop costing and pricing models for various product lines and key clientele.
- Leverage data analysis skills to scrutinize extensive datasets, identifying opportunities to enhance company profitability.
- Create tools to monitor and report on profitability, cost escalations, annual price adjustments, and recommendations for future enhancements.
- Provide reports on essential KPIs and cost drivers to promote performance discussions, managing real-time cost controls to assist General Managers and Business Unit Managers in achieving their monthly and quarterly objectives.
- Examine historical and current trends in key performance indicators, including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures, highlighting trends and analyzing the causes of unexpected variances.
- Construct financial models and analyses to support sales initiatives and strategic projects.
- Review bids and contracts, conducting risk assessments related to unusual costs, necessary investments, and legal considerations.
- Lead the improvement and adherence to Business Finance processes, standards, and systems.
- Implement and utilize a Business Intelligence Tool along with Dashboard reporting.
KEY CHALLENGES:
- Operate in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment with strict deadlines for new opportunity modeling requests.
- Collaborate with various organizational levels, from executive leadership to technical and operational staff.
- This role is based at the company's headquarters and may require travel to other locations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or economics.
- 5+ years of proven experience in a similar or advancing role.
- Experience in manufacturing is essential; aviation experience is advantageous.
- General understanding of accounting, financial, and operational principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is crucial.
- Experience with a major corporation or a division of a large enterprise is preferred; global experience is a plus.
- Commercial acumen and demonstrated experience in developing cost models.
- Ability to interact effectively with all management levels.
- Advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
