POSITION SUMMARY:

This pivotal role is essential for the future expansion of the organization.

The incumbent will oversee a crucial segment of the company's financial management, encompassing financial forecasting, key performance indicators (KPIs), budgeting processes, operational planning, project costing, pricing strategies, cost analysis, and cost control measures. The role will involve providing financial consulting and strategic support to senior leadership, including financial presentations, capital expenditure evaluations, industry comparisons, new business opportunities, and various management requests.

This function serves as the analytical backbone of the organization, facilitating optimal business decision-making.

The position reports directly to the Group Director of FP&A and collaborates closely with the Sales and Marketing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop costing and pricing models for diverse product lines and key clientele.
  2. Leverage data analysis skills to interrogate and interpret extensive datasets, identifying opportunities to enhance profitability.
  3. Create tools for monitoring and reporting on profitability, cost fluctuations, annual price adjustments, and recommendations for future enhancements.
  4. Focus on reporting key KPIs and cost drivers to support performance discussions, managing multiple real-time cost controls to assist General Managers and Business Unit Managers in achieving their monthly and quarterly objectives.
  5. Examine historical and current trends in key performance indicators, including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures, identifying trends and analyzing the causes of unexpected variances.
  6. Construct financial models and analyses to support sales initiatives and strategic projects.
  7. Review bids and contracts, conducting risk assessments related to unusual costs, necessary investments, and legal considerations.
  8. Lead the enhancement and compliance of Business Finance processes, standards, and systems.
  9. Implement and utilize a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reporting.

KEY CHALLENGES:

  • Operate within a rapidly growing and dynamic environment, adhering to strict deadlines for new opportunity modeling requests.
  • Collaborate with various organizational levels, from executive leadership to technical and operational staff.
  • This role is based at the company headquarters but may require travel to other locations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or economics.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a similar or progressive role.
  • Experience in manufacturing is essential; aviation experience is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting, financial, and operational principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Experience with a major corporation or a division of a large company; global experience is advantageous.
  • Commercial acumen and demonstrated experience in building cost models.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all management levels.
  • Advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
