Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at ITT. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our engineered valves to end-users, engineering companies, original equipment manufacturers, and distributors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize your exceptional sales skills and product expertise to promote and sell our engineered valves to key accounts and distributors.
  • Develop and expand our distribution network in the territory, ensuring strong relationships with key partners.
  • Identify and pursue new CAPEX projects to specify and install our valves, driving revenue growth and market share.
  • Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation to aftermarket support, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
  • Maintain an up-to-date territory plan, prioritizing key accounts and opportunities.
  • Travel extensively (approximately 60% of the time) to visit key accounts, distributors, and customers, fostering strong relationships and driving sales growth.
  • Perform specification work for day-to-day business and projects with A&Es, OEMs, and end-users, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Conduct product information seminars and training for end-users, A&E accounts, distributors, and representatives, enhancing their knowledge and understanding of our engineered valves.
  • Provide ITT with detailed information on the competitive landscape in the territory, informing business decisions and strategies.
  • Maintain reports for active projects and opportunities, supporting monthly reporting and forecasting processes.
  • Communicate effectively with direct supervisors on all customers, sales channels, and company matters, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment.
  • Maintain up-to-date distributor/representative sales action plans, monitoring progress towards goals and reporting results.
  • Report to and follow the directions given by the Sales Director EMEA, India & APAC, ensuring alignment with company objectives and strategies.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a technical field.
  • At least 5 years of outside technical valve sales experience, preferably with channel management experience and sales of valves or related products.
  • Fluency in German and English (verbal and written communication).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence, effectively present information, and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Valid driver's license.
