Job Title: Regional Sales Representative

Gorbel is a leading manufacturer of material handling and fall protection products, and we're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Representative to join our team.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a sales professional who can establish strong relationships with dealers, integrators, and end-users in the sales channel, manage existing channel partners, and develop a strategic growth plan for a specified geographic territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish long-term relationships with dealers, integrators, and end-users in the sales channel
  • Manage existing channel partners and add or remove dealers as required to grow sales and minimize channel conflict
  • Develop a strategic growth plan for a specified geographic territory
  • Actively seek opportunities to add value to Gorbel's sales channel partners
  • Conduct sales calls and meetings with end-users and dealers to promote and demonstrate Gorbel's products
  • Provide technical training and sales support to dealers
  • Become a subject matter expert in finding the best solutions for end-user applications
  • Coordinate and assist dealers to achieve sales performance
  • Suggest methods and programs to increase sales
  • Monitor and follow up on opportunities to close sales and capture market share
  • Assist in developing and executing plans to counter competitive pressures
  • Manage a multi-state territory in North West USA
  • Act as a liaison between the field and the organization
  • Proactively seek to add value by suggesting and implementing business improvements
  • Participate in industry trade shows as a company representative
Requirements:
  • Ability to balance and advance customer and organizational needs
  • Excellent data analytical skills with a proficiency to summarize and communicate findings
  • Ability to assess improvement opportunities and develop strategies to implement improvements
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate personal leadership and coaching skills at all times
  • Ability to give and receive feedback in a constructive manner (low ego)
  • Must have a high mechanical-technical aptitude and/or experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field preferred with a minimum of 3-5 years in sales selling through a distribution channel or relevant work experience
  • Ability to travel in North America up to 50% of the time

At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
