Position Summary:
The Engineering Manager for Manufacturing Operations is pivotal in refining our production methodologies, ensuring the highest standards of product quality while enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Enhancement:
    Identify and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing workflows, enhance quality, and boost overall productivity. Utilize Lean Manufacturing techniques, including value stream mapping and 5S, to facilitate improvements.
  • Leadership:
    Oversee and mentor a team of process engineers, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Quality Management:
    Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to establish and uphold stringent quality control measures, ensuring all products meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Cost Analysis:
    Evaluate production costs and develop cost-saving initiatives that do not compromise quality or safety. Monitor labor trends and propose enhancements to optimize labor efficiency.
  • Risk Management:
    Conduct PFMEAs to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Technology Integration:
    Assess and adopt new manufacturing technologies to elevate productivity and product quality. Collaborate with finance and product development teams to analyze new equipment investments.
  • Supplier Engagement:
    Work in conjunction with the Supply Chain team to ensure the timely procurement of materials while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Safety Standards:
    Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
    Utilize analytical tools to monitor key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Culture of Improvement:
    Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, motivating team members to propose and implement creative solutions.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of ten years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, including at least two years in a managerial role, is required. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
