Position Overview

As a Senior Engineer specializing in Factory Management Systems (FMS), you will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of AVEVA (Wonderware) System platform and SQL Server-based factory management solutions within our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and configure systems using AVEVA (Wonderware) System Platform, InTouch, and MS SQL Server.
  • Collaborate closely with Process Engineering to integrate mechanical, electrical, and control systems with FMS.
  • Identify business challenges, devise solutions, and implement both technical and non-technical enhancements.
  • Foster strong relationships between business units and the Engineering team.
  • Deliver systems and services that provide measurable value to the organization, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution.
  • Adhere to and promote CHEP FMS standards with both new and existing equipment suppliers to facilitate swift implementations.
  • Provide ongoing support for FMS operations, including during off-hours, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Scope of Work
  • Global reach across multiple countries.
Decision-Making Authority
  • Ability to select service providers as needed.
Challenges
  • Work across various time zones and cultures, requiring flexibility for meetings outside of standard hours.
  • Provide remote support for FMS on a 24/7 basis during off-hours and holidays.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends, during project rollouts.
  • Expected travel commitment of approximately 40%.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or utilities.
Experience
  • At least 5 years of hands-on project experience with AVEVA (Wonderware) System platform 2020.
  • Proficient in AVEVA/Wonderware system platform troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience in remote support and on-call duties.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server 2017, including databases, stored procedures, SQL Reporting Services, and .NET.
  • Knowledge of Rockwell PLCs (SLC 500, Micrologix, Compactlogix, Control Logix).
Skills and Knowledge
  • Understanding of Inductive Automation Ignition 8.1.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
  • Effective project and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a results-driven atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of server and PC hardware, specifically Windows Server 2019.
  • Familiarity with production manufacturing metrics such as Process Reliability.
  • Understanding of PLC programming for Omron and Siemens systems.
