Salary Range: The compensation for this role is between $80,000 and $90,000 annually, depending on experience and work history.

Key Responsibilities:

The Culinary Operations Manager is tasked with delivering comprehensive leadership, support, and direction to the Culinary Services teams across designated communities. This role also involves overseeing culinary operations at a specific location in the absence of Community Culinary Leadership. While present in the community, the Manager ensures that essential systems and standards are established, kitchen operations are streamlined, and staff members are well-informed of their responsibilities. This foundational support allows newly appointed Culinary Leaders to start strong from day one.

  • Oversee the community kitchen and provide meal services when Community Culinary Leadership is unavailable.
  • Assess the food program, enhance staff culinary knowledge, ensure adherence to culinary procedures, develop kitchen work plans, and confirm compliance with all necessary guidelines to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, training, development, and evaluation of assigned personnel.
  • Ensure proper food ordering processes are followed and manage the community's food and labor budget effectively.
  • Inspire, motivate, and coach community teams to realize the brand's dining vision and surpass performance objectives.
  • Foster a culture of service by ensuring community teams comprehend their operations, deliver exceptional service, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Act as a catalyst for process improvements, leading and advocating for the tactical implementation of enhancements and changes, while inspiring others to drive progress.
  • Guarantee full compliance and effectiveness of the HACCP (Food Safety) program.
  • Implement and monitor culinary strategies that enhance organizational profitability.
  • Complete all required reports and logs, conducting regular culinary and sanitation evaluations with timely follow-ups to ensure compliance.
  • Extensive travel is required (up to 100%).

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Review Quality Enhancement standards with Culinary Leaders and staff, ensuring all systems are in place to maintain or exceed designated Quality Enhancement scores.
  • Train and uphold Quality Enhancement standards consistently across assigned communities.
  • Ensure compliance with state-specific standards at all times, collaborating closely with Culinary Leaders to review regulations and implement necessary policies and procedures.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of culinary experience in the hospitality sector.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proven capability to resolve issues related to dissatisfied customers and/or employees.
  • Serve Safe certification is required.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel extensively on behalf of the organization.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • This position involves driving responsibilities, which may include the use of a company-provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle.
  • Must meet and comply with company motor vehicle policy standards and travel policy.
