Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 annually, based on experience and work history.


Key Responsibilities

The Culinary Operations Manager will provide comprehensive leadership, support, and direction to the Culinary Services team across designated communities. In the absence of Community Culinary Leadership, this role will oversee culinary operations within a specific community. The Manager will ensure that essential systems and standards are established, kitchen operations are streamlined, and staff members are well-informed of their responsibilities. This foundational support will enable newly appointed Culinary Leaders to succeed from their first day.

  • Oversee community kitchen operations and deliver meal services in the absence of Community Culinary Leadership.
  • Assess the food program, enhance staff culinary skills, ensure adherence to culinary protocols, develop kitchen work plans, and guarantee compliance with all necessary guidelines to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and evaluating team members.
  • Ensure food orders are processed correctly and manage the community's food and labor budget effectively.
  • Inspire, motivate, train, and coach community teams to implement the brand's dining vision and achieve performance goals.
  • Foster a service-oriented culture by ensuring community teams comprehend their roles, deliver exceptional service, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Act as a catalyst for process improvements, leading and championing the tactical implementation of enhancements and changes.
  • Ensure full compliance and effectiveness of the HACCP (Food Safety) program.
  • Develop and monitor culinary strategies that enhance organizational profitability.
  • Complete all necessary reports, logs, and conduct regular culinary and sanitation evaluations with timely follow-ups to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Extensive travel is required (up to 100%).

Quality Assurance and State Compliance:

  • Review Quality Enhancement standards with Culinary Leaders and Culinary Services staff, ensuring systems are in place to maintain or exceed designated Quality Enhancement scores.
  • Train and uphold Quality Enhancement standards consistently across assigned communities.
  • Ensure compliance with state-specific standards at all times, collaborating closely with Culinary Leaders to review state guidelines and implement necessary policies and procedures.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of culinary experience in the hospitality sector.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to resolve issues with dissatisfied customers and/or employees.
  • Serve Safe certification is required.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time on behalf of the company.
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Driving responsibilities may include using a company-provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle.
  • Must meet and comply with company motor vehicle policy standards and travel policies.
