About the Role

Atria Support Center is seeking a highly skilled Regional Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our culinary services team, you will be responsible for providing leadership, support, and guidance to our culinary staff in assigned communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide overall leadership and support to the culinary services staff in assigned communities, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to excel in their roles.
  • Culinary Operations: Maintain culinary operations at assigned communities, ensuring that basic systems and standards are in place, kitchen operations are organized, and staff members understand their job expectations.
  • Quality Enhancement: Review and implement Quality Enhancement standards with culinary leaders and staff, ensuring that all systems are in place to maintain or exceed designated Quality Enhancement scores.
  • State Inspections: Ensure that state-specific standards are maintained at all times, working closely with culinary leaders to review state guidelines and regulations and implement policies and procedures to meet regulations.
  • Staff Management: Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, developing, and evaluating assigned staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Food and Labor Budget Management: Ensure that food orders are placed following proper ordering processes and manage to the community's food and labor budget.
  • Culture of Service: Create a culture of service by ensuring that community teams understand their business, can deliver superior service, and abide by all company processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Process Improvements: Serve as a catalyst for integrating process improvements, leading, and championing tactical implementation of enhancements and/or changes.
  • HACCP Compliance: Ensure full compliance and effectiveness of the HACCP (Food Safety) program.
  • Culinary Strategies: Implement and monitor culinary strategies that enhance profitability for the organization.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Complete all required reports, logs, and conduct culinary and sanitation evaluations on a regular basis with timely follow-up.
Requirements
  • Culinary Experience: Five (5) or more years of culinary experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Organization and Time Management: Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees.
  • Certifications: Serve Safe certified.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Travel: Will be required to travel up to 100% of the time on behalf of the company.
  • Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license.
