Job Summary

The Lead Wait Person is a key member of our dining team, responsible for ensuring exceptional service and a positive experience for our residents. As a supervisor, you will oversee the dining room staff, manage daily operations, and maintain high standards of safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise Dining Room Staff: Directly supervise wait staff, bussers, and other dining room personnel to ensure seamless service and efficient operations.
  • Manage Daily Operations: Assist with the management of the dining room, including meal service, table settings, and inventory management.
  • Maintain Safety and Sanitation: Ensure that the dining room and kitchen meet the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and cleanliness, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Assist in the orientation and training of new employees, including on-the-job training, adherence to policies and procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Communicate Effectively: Maintain open communication with the Food Service Director, cooks, and other staff members to ensure smooth operations and address any concerns or issues.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year work experience in food service operations, including California Food Handler certification.
  • Skills: Ability to work harmoniously with residents, staff, and healthcare professionals, maintain high professional and ethical standards, and possess basic computer knowledge.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Pay: Starting salary range from $17.25 to $20.56/hour, influenced by factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, and market and business considerations.
  • Benefits Package: Eligible for Eskaton's health benefits package the first of the month following 60 days of employment and Paid Time Off benefits program after 90 days of employment.
