Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Oversight:

Process biweekly payroll for all US employees across multiple entities, manage time and attendance, and ensure compliance with state and federal labor and wage and hour laws. Administer 401k plans, payroll deductions, and employer contributions. Oversee payroll systems and software, ensuring data integrity and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Resolve payroll discrepancies and address tax notices promptly. Manage HRIS and additional system functionalities, ensuring accuracy and integrity of information. Stay up-to-date on state-specific payroll laws and regulations. Accurately process final payroll for departing employees while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and providing necessary benefits continuation information.

Benefits Strategy and Administration:
Drive benefit enrollment and administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. Evaluate and negotiate benefit plan options to ensure competitive offerings that align with organizational goals. Provide strategic guidance on benefits communication and employee education initiatives. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to improve payroll and benefits administration. Facilitate training on payroll systems and benefits programs. Partner with benefits providers on open enrollment.

Compliance and Reporting:
Complete regular reporting for employee benefits, including ACA, 1099, 401(k), Workers Comp audits, Unemployment, NDT Testing, and 401k Audits. Ensure compliance with all labor laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements related to payroll and benefits. Prepare and analyze payroll and benefits reports for Headquarters and other ad hoc requests.

Collaboration and Strategic Planning:
Conduct benefit-cost analysis and compliance research. Collaborate with HR and finance departments to align payroll and benefits strategies with organizational objectives. Participate in the design and implementation of HR initiatives, such as wellness events, that align with corporate KPIs.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration. In-depth knowledge of payroll and benefits legislation and best practices. Proven experience with payroll software and HRIS systems. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to effectively and gracefully solve or identify problems as they arise. Preferred qualifications include experience using Paychex, Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification, experience with benefits administration platforms, and advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.

Compensation:
The annual base compensation range for this role sits between $80,000 - $100,000. Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors, including previous work experience, specific industry experience, relevant skills, training, and certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. In addition to salary and a competitive employee benefits package, candidates may also be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
