Overview: Ace Computers, a prominent provider of IT solutions and recognized among the top 100 Custom System Builders in the US, is looking for a dedicated professional to enhance our procurement team. This position will report directly to the Director of Quality.

Position Summary: The ideal candidate will assess and refine Ace Computers' purchasing processes. Responsibilities include analyzing market trends, evaluating supplier performance, and reviewing purchasing data to uncover cost-saving opportunities and boost supply chain efficiency. Essential tasks involve negotiating supplier contracts, managing vendor partnerships, and ensuring the prompt delivery of high-quality materials. A strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in procurement software are crucial for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Management:


• Oversee the vendor management program, assessing potential suppliers to guarantee high-quality and cost-effective procurement.


• Conduct periodic vendor evaluations to ensure adherence to company standards and contractual obligations.


• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to synchronize procurement strategies with market trends.

Contract Negotiation:


• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure optimal value for the organization.


• Ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards in procurement activities.

Supply Chain and Inventory Oversight:


• Monitor inventory levels and work with teams to enhance inventory management practices.


• Supervise the complete supply chain process from sourcing to delivery.

Vendor Relations:


• Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with vendors, promoting collaboration and effective communication.


• Collaborate closely with vendors to address issues, improve lead times, and elevate overall performance.

Requirements Gathering:


• Partner with engineering teams to comprehend project needs and source appropriate materials.


• Ensure timely and precise fulfillment of requisitions to support project schedules.


• Collaborate with other departments and leadership to identify and define needs for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable alternatives.

Data Analysis:


• Utilize MS Office tools, particularly Excel, for data analysis, reporting, and tracking procurement metrics.


• Maintain precise records of purchases, negotiations, and vendor performance.


• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to procurement activities.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's Degree.


• Strong time management skills.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office.


• Technical knowledge regarding computer components and design.


• Resourceful in sourcing and obtaining information.


• Comfortable with technical documentation, including procedures and processes.


• Detail-oriented and organized.


• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
