KEY OBJECTIVES
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of all project phases.
- Provide mentorship, management, and training to team members.
- Oversee a significant Cold Storage project or manage several smaller to mid-sized projects.
- Inspire and educate team members effectively.
- Deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
- Facilitate collaboration among the Peak Team, Engineers, and Subcontractors.
- Manage and monitor project budgets efficiently.
- Develop and maintain a detailed CPM Project schedule for all assignments.
- Ensure timely procurement and buyout of subcontract work to prevent cost increases and supply chain interruptions.
- Demonstrate advanced computer proficiency and technology utilization.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with all project stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Manager at Peak Construction Corporation is primarily accountable for:
- General Management
- Ensuring project delivery aligns with client expectations and adheres to timelines and budgets.
- Maintaining effective communication with the project team to guarantee client satisfaction.
- Managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- Participating in the broader management of the company, contributing to corporate initiatives and executive meetings.
- Actively seeking new business opportunities and presenting to potential clients.
- Conducting performance evaluations for project managers, superintendents, and engineers.
- Creating engagement opportunities with clients to better understand their needs.
- Budget Management
- Engaging in the pre-construction phase to establish project budgets.
- Collaborating with the project team to define internal costs and budgets.
- Taking ownership of project budgets and expediting the bidding process for trade work.
- Proactively managing project costs against budgets and providing accurate forecasts for final costs and profits.
- Creating and expediting subcontract agreements in line with project timelines.
- Ensuring thorough project closeout to avoid delays in final completion.
- Schedule Management
- Sharing responsibility for meeting contractual schedule requirements.
- Participating in the creation and regular updating of the Master Project Schedule.
- Working with the project team to ensure timely procurement of resources throughout the project lifecycle.
