Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Business Development Manager to lead our global strategic accounts and drive business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining existing relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and implementing strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business plans to drive revenue growth and expand market share
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and partners
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including cross-selling and upselling
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform business decisions
  • Manage contract inventory and asset management to optimize profitability and efficiency
  • Review and analyze sales orders to ensure accurate pricing and inventory utilization
  • Oversee coordination with key customers to improve service levels and sales performance
  • Develop and implement creative sales techniques to increase sales volume and revenue
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Support upper management in people development, succession planning, and employee engagement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Commerce, or Economics
  • Master's degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in a metals or metals distribution environment
  • Proven track record of profitability and continuous improvement in a warehouse or steel distribution environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally for business purposes
  • Accountability to meet and exceed sales and revenue targets
  • Laser focus on employee communication, motivation, engagement, and development
  • Demonstrated sales skills with strong achievement orientation
  • Ability to multitask effectively and partner with other departments for results
  • Strong analytical skills, creativity, and strategic capabilities
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Excel
  • Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations
