Your New Role Awaits: Kleinfelder is on the lookout for a Senior Environmental Project Leader to spearhead environmental assessment and investigation project management for our Los Angeles Area team.

This role involves leading project management, technical execution, team collaboration, and strategic client engagement for a diverse array of industrial and construction environmental clients.

Based in our Los Angeles office, you will play a crucial role in significant local transportation and municipal agency contracts, making a meaningful impact on our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Supervise environmental site assessments, including soil, soil gas, and groundwater evaluations, feasibility studies, remedial action planning, and compliance efforts.
  • Advanced Analysis: Conduct thorough technical writing and review of reports and data.
  • Project Management: Oversee large-scale programs and multiple projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Client Relations: Maintain front-line communication with clients and ensure quality assurance on project deliverables.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior staff, fostering their career development.

As a Senior Project Leader, you will embody leadership qualities, demonstrating effective communication and management skills to guide a talented team of internal and external members.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting with comprehensive knowledge of California regulations.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in multi-disciplinary environmental compliance projects.
  • BS (MS preferred) in environmental engineering, geology, or a related field.
  • Professional licensure (PE or PG) or the ability to obtain it within three months.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Work Environment: This position entails both office and fieldwork. Candidates must be able to pass a medical surveillance that includes drug screening and be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. Field activities may involve exposure to varying environmental conditions.
