Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage the preparation of CEQA and NEPA documents, ensuring high-quality analysis, adherence to schedules and budgets, and compliance with CEQA and NEPA process requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across disciplines to ensure effective project delivery, client satisfaction, and business growth.
- Train and mentor junior staff on CEQA and NEPA, as well as other planning and environmental disciplines, to ensure knowledge transfer and team development.
- Engage with clients through responsive and clear communication, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Assist in preparing public presentations to agency decision-making bodies, showcasing our expertise and building strong relationships.
- Perform agency consultation and ensure environmental regulatory compliance, maintaining a strong reputation for our company.
- Demonstrate confidence in decision-making and be recognized by clients and peers as a subject matter expert in CEQA and NEPA and related technical areas.
- Support business development, including proposal preparation, to drive growth and revenue.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, urban planning, or a related field; an advanced degree is desired.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience working in California; private environmental consulting firm experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a large, multi-disciplinary team.
- Solid schedule and budget management abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to travel as projects require, with a flexible approach to work arrangements.
- Problem solver and results-oriented, with a passion for delivering exceptional results.
