Business Development Director

Hendall Inc. is a leading professional services contracting company, providing critical support to various Federal Government agencies. We are seeking a Director of Business Development to drive the activities of our business development team.
To be successful in this role, you should have strong business acumen, a proven track record identifying deals and winning new business, and excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Success will be measured through observed momentum as pipeline deals advance through the capture process to proposal submission and ultimately proposals that result in new bookings for Hendall.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct business development activities from deal identification, qualification, and capture to proposal development and submission.
- Build relationships with customers and industry partners.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify potential customers and service areas.
- Prepare documentation required to respond to requests for proposals.
- Research emerging trends and recommend new company offerings to satisfy customers' needs.
- Present executive-level reports, including qualifying statuses of in-process bids and pipeline opportunities.
- Identify leads for new business opportunities and develop capture strategies to secure identified work.
- Monitor Government acquisition notices to identify those that align with Hendall's capabilities and goals.
- Maintain relationships with Government leaders and program staff to identify, pursue, and secure new client opportunities.
- Research and analyze opportunities based on resource capabilities, teaming options, incumbent strengths and weaknesses, competing providers, and budget and schedule requirements.
- Author proposals, white papers, standard operating procedures, and other content.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of proven business development, sales, or marketing experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the FAR and the Government contract life cycle.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Detail-oriented and persuasive.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
Salary Range: $120,000 to $165,000 per year
