About the Role

Mindful Care is seeking a highly skilled Patient Experience Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience throughout their journey with us.

As a Patient Experience Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for patients, handling scheduling, payment collections, and inquiries related to our services. You will also be responsible for triaging incoming inquiries from other departments and re-engaging patients who have missed appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients via phone, email, and text
  • Handle scheduling, payment collections, and inquiries related to our services
  • Triage incoming inquiries from other departments and re-engage patients who have missed appointments
  • Manage all in-office appointments and provide support to patients as needed
  • Collect balance due, copayments, and no-show fees
  • Provide same-day eligibility and verification
  • Support patients through the intake process and establish their Patient Portal
  • Act as office manager and provide office maintenance, point of contact for new office staffing, and escort in office visits to the examination room
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical office/hospital/clinic environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience verifying health insurance
  • Prior customer service experience (medical or mental health practices preferred)
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service over the phone, email, and text
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be well organized, attentive to details, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong computer proficiency
  • Demonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of culture
