Overview:

LVI Associates is collaborating with a prominent consulting firm seeking to enhance their Energy & Industrial Group by bringing on a Lead Electrical Engineer. This group is distinguished for its commitment to pioneering advancements in renewable energy, carbon capture, and green hydrogen technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the design and evaluation of electrical systems across a variety of projects, including both retrofitting existing plants and implementing new installations.
  • Create power distribution designs and formulate specifications for the procurement of major electrical equipment.
  • Guarantee that projects adhere to specifications, codes, and client expectations, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Supervise the creation of functional design drawings and detailed calculations, encompassing power system studies and arc flash assessments.
  • Guide junior engineers and work collaboratively within a project team setting.
  • Engage in travel to client locations and vendor facilities for design evaluations and field inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited), with a preference for a specialization in power systems.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred or the capability to secure one.
  • Approximately 10 years of experience in the design of power plants or industrial facilities, with a focus on integrated system design and equipment selection.
  • Expertise in using ETAP or SKM for engineering calculations.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical power distribution equipment and experience in client-facing roles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with instrumentation and controls engineering.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Background in construction and start-up processes.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring in-office attendance three days per week. The organization provides a competitive compensation package and benefits, including comprehensive healthcare and generous paid time off.
