We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to take on a leadership role in our Miami, FL office. This position offers a unique opportunity for professional growth while also allowing you to mentor and elevate the capabilities of your team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical designs that adhere to the Electrical Department's established Procedures and Standards, as well as specific client requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Principal, Project Managers, and Electrical Team Leader to plan project workflows and manage deliverables within budget constraints.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of project timelines, current status, and technical challenges. Review all designs prior to submission to clients with the supervisor and Department Head.
  • Lead the technical team in delivering designs for a variety of clients, providing support to team members on both technical and administrative matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Codes and Standards in all team activities.
  • Continuously enhance the quality of team deliverables, communication, and overall efficiency.
  • Oversee project budgets and scope of work.
  • Conduct Construction Administration tasks, including site visits, issuing field reports, responding to RFIs, and reviewing shop drawings.

Operations and Staff Development:

  • Effectively manage technical tasks and project efforts within the Electrical Team, closely coordinating with the Electrical Lead to balance deliverables, client expectations, and budget based on allocated fees.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Excel, Revit, SKM, AGI 32, and AMPCALC 4.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE preferred) and licensed or eligible for licensure in MA within one year.
  • 12 to 15 years of experience in MEP consulting, design-build, architectural, or construction firms.
  • PE license required; LEED accreditation preferred.
