Position Overview
- Deliver direct patient assistance under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, adhering to the Aide Care Plan.
- Utilize necessary skills to facilitate safe patient transfers and mobility in accordance with hospice guidelines.
- Effectively communicate changes in patient condition and document relevant information to maintain continuity of care.
- Implement standard infection control practices, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and their families.
- Assist patients with nutritional needs and ensure adequate hydration.
- Contribute to the operational efficiency of the hospice, demonstrating strong time management abilities.
- Perform treatments and procedures as outlined by hospice policies.
- Advocate for the hospice philosophy and adhere to administrative policies to guarantee high-quality care.
- Education: High School Diploma preferred. Completion of a recognized training program or competency evaluation as per Medicare regulations.
- Licensure: Current CNA certification and valid driver's license required.
- Experience: Preferred one year of experience as a Hospice Aide or Nursing Assistant in various healthcare settings, along with completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide Program.
- Skills: Proficient in reading, writing, and verbally communicating clinical information to patients and healthcare staff. Demonstrates a genuine interest in the care of the ill and elderly. Successful completion of the Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist is required.
Compensation: $25 per visit
