Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit a service-oriented attitude towards residents, patients, visitors, and colleagues.
- Ensure safety by identifying and reporting safety hazards.
- Maintain an excellent attendance record.
- Document clinical assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with departmental policies.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on Physical Therapy practices to enhance understanding and care quality.
- Utilize sound clinical judgment in all treatment aspects.
- Guide and supervise Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Techs, and students.
- Screen residents to assess their potential benefits from therapy interventions.
- Develop and implement physical therapy programs tailored to residents' needs.
- Participate in ongoing training and meetings as required.
- Fulfill continuing education requirements to maintain state licensure.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Rehab.
Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Familiarity with therapy industry regulations.
- Preferred experience with documentation systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in rehabilitation settings for mature populations.
- Basic computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong customer service skills and a genuine interest in caring for mature adults and hospice patients.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role.
- Commitment to upholding the Resident Bill of Rights and organizational safety policies.
