- Deliver direct patient assistance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to the established Aide Plan of Care.
- Utilize necessary skills to facilitate safe patient transfers and mobility in accordance with hospice protocols.
- Effectively communicate changes in patient condition and document relevant information to maintain continuity of care.
- Implement accepted infection control measures, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients. Foster respectful and supportive communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Assist patients with nutritional needs and ensure adequate fluid intake.
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the hospice by demonstrating strong time management skills.
- Perform treatments and procedures as per hospice guidelines.
- Uphold the hospice philosophy and administrative policies to guarantee high-quality care.
- Education: High School Diploma preferred. Completion of a training program or competency evaluation as specified in Medicare regulations is required.
- Licensure: Current CNA certification and valid driver's license are mandatory.
- Experience: Preferred minimum of one year in a similar role within a hospice, nursing home, or home health setting, along with completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aide Program.
- Skills: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate clinical information effectively. Demonstrated compassion for the elderly and ill. Successful completion of the Aide Competency Evaluation Skills Checklist is required.
Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance are essential.
Compensation: $25 per visit.
